Currently a visual arts major at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in South Florida. I am looking forward to entering college next year and being able to further my research in both of my passions: art and animal science. I plan on majoring in some sort of Animal Biology where I can take classes in Animal Science, Marine Biology and Ecology, and Environmental Conservation, while also doing a double major in Art and/or French. I am an active tennis player, as well as an equestrian, participating in may competitions. I am also an artist; as a Senior, school can be really stressful so my art is my favorite thing to do to de-stress and make me feel better. I also consider myself as a conservationist after going on a study abroad program in Costa Rica and witnessing first hand the devastating effects that we have on wildlife and their environment.
Growing up playing in the ocean waves and sands of South Florida, I developed my passion for protecting the environment and marine life very early. My innate love for all creatures, big and small, led me two big passions: animals and art.
As a child I loved my Crayola markers, my red plastic easel and all arts and crafts. I kept animal journals with sketches and “research” on the animals I encountered on my daily excursions as well as those I only dreamed of seeing in person. My dream was to drive around in a big red pickup truck searching for animals in need and bring them back to my Rescue Ranch to help them. I planned on funding my Ranch by selling my sketches. Today, I hope to sell my paintings to help protect
the wild animals that I love so much.
